Host Families

Host Family accommodation is available for all students, close to the school in the residential area of Pembroke. Living with one of our friendly, English-speaking host families gives you a unique opportunity to experience Maltese family life, traditions and customs as well as to immerse yourself in the language.

Your host family will speak to you in English and all our families are carefully selected and monitored to ensure that they exceed the standards laid out by the Malta Tourism Authority.  Most of our families are within walking distance from the school or a short bus ride away. You can buy your bus pass at the office on arrival. Laundry services are available within the family at a small additional charge.

Hotels

If you prefer to select a local hotel we offer a wide range of hotels in the nearby areas of St. Julian’s Bay, Sliema or Qawra.  All our recommended hotels are centrally located, close to shops, restaurants and the beautiful Mediterranean sea.  Hotels are equipped with heating/air conditioning, minibar, cable television and direct dial telephone. Some hotels provide a free WiFi service and have a gym and/or swimming pool. Contact us for more information and pictures.

Self – Catering Accommodation

Self -Catering apartments are available for adult students over 18 years of age, who might be looking for more independence and the option to cook for themselves. The school offers a selection of single or shared twin rooms within a shared apartment or home. All our accommodation is centrally located and offers self-catering facilities. There is normally a refundable €50 security deposit taken by the owner to be paid upon arrival. This is a very popular option for students, early booking is highly recommended.

Environmental Contribution

As announced in the 2016 Budget, the Government of Malta will be introducing an Environmental Contribution for all types of accommodation that begin on or after June 1, 2016. All revenue generated from this initiative will be directed solely and exclusively to upgrade and embellish the local infrastructure in touristic areas around the Maltese Islands. The contribution is payable by anyone 18 years or older on the day of arrival. It amounts to €0.50c per person for each night spent on the Maltese Islands at any type of accommodation. The contribution is capped at a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay.  The contribution must be charged separately and will not be included in the room rate charged.
